FIREmapp is DCmapp’s rapid wildfire mapping solution, designed to provide near real time situational awareness during active fire events. Using advanced infrared sensors deployed on aircraft and drones, FIREmapp identifies hotspots, fire perimeters, and areas of concern when visibility is limited and time is critical. 

FIREmapp missions are optimized for wildfire conditions. Flights are typically conducted at night, when thermal contrast is highest and aerial operations can be carried out safely and efficiently. This allows responders to see through smoke and darkness to identify active fire behavior that may not be visible from the ground.
